The retreat program at Carondelet High School is designed to offer the CHS community time for rest, reflection, bonding with self, others, and God. The charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph and the CHS mission is woven into the themes of each retreat.
Freshman Retreat occurs on a day in October and focuses on building class "unity" by getting to know each other while learning about the CSJ history and charisms.
Sophomore Retreats are held at the Diocesan Youth Retreat Center in Lafayette where each religion class joins with their peer counselors and Sr. Joann Heinritz in exploring "all of which woman is capable."
Junior Retreat experience is centered upon service to the "dear neighbor" by working one day at St. Anthony Center in San Francisco in the spring.
"Kairos" Senior Retreat is a two and a half days/two nights program at San Damiano Retreat Center in Danville with an emphasis upon experiencing "God's time" and learning to live the message of Christ.
Student Retreat Teams facilitate all these retreat opportunities, offering talks, leading small groups, and sharing in community building.
Other Retreat Opportunities:
• The Mother-Daughter Retreat is a wonderful way for students and their mothers to spend time together and grow in faith! It is usually scheduled in February.
