Finals are coming! Senior Finals will be held Tuesday, May 18, Wednesday, May 19 and Thursday, May 20. Seniors will be allowed to leave school after finals each day. Frosh, Sophomore and Junior Finals will be held on Wednesday, June 2, Thursday, June 3 and Friday, June 4. (Please check the school calendar at www.carondelet.net for specific Periods and times.) Encourage your daughter’s to continue working diligently and to check in with teachers if “personalized” help is needed! Lots of sleep and good food will help too!
Summer School: As you may know, due to severe budget cuts many school districts will only be running restricted programs for summer make up, and many districts will not run summer programs at all. Therefore, it is important to check NOW with your public school district office as to when or if
Students may also make up some courses on-line through BYU but I will need to approve those courses as well prior to enrollment. If a student is making up an F grade through an on-line course, the final exam will be given on a SET DATE during the first week of August, in order for a student to return to Carondelet. Please consider this when looking for options for summer school. Note that grades made up during summer school are listed on the transcript, but are not configured into the GPA. All grades earned will always remain on the student’s transcript.
Course Schedules: Student course selections are being refined as the schedule is being built for the 2010-11 school year. Actual student schedules will be available on Power School in May with a very limited time for change requests. We will let the students know via the daily announcements when the schedules are posted. (Daily announcements are available at www.carondelet.net if you want to keep an eye on it also.) At that point, we will give students two weeks to request any changes. Requests for admittance into AP/Honors courses will only be accepted for those students who meet the pre-requisites. Final acceptance into all classes will be determined once second semester grades have been processed.
