Our Lenten Alms campaign that focused on raising funds for the Central Asia Institute raised $5,550.00. This money will support the efforts of Greg Mortenson’s organization to build schools and help educate Afghani and Pakistani girls.
Beginning in early May we will be accepting registrations for next year’s senior Kairos retreats. Class of 2011 parents, please be aware that retreats fill up fast. It is recommended that students not make their retreat during their school sport season, so if your daughter must attend a particular retreat it will be important for her to register this May to insure getting the particular spot she needs. Dates for next year’s Kairos retreats are: September 14-16, November 16-18, February 1-3, and April 12-14. Total cost of the retreat is $250, $50 of which is due at time of registration. This retreat experience is considered by our school community to be a significant and important piece of your daughter’s Carondelet experience. Financial assistance is available for students who otherwise could not attend the retreat. Requests for such assistance can be directed to the Campus Minister, Mrs. Mondello, at Ext. 167.
Parents of seniors—We hope to see you at the Baccalaureate Mass on Thursday, May 20 at 7 p.m. at St. Francis of Asissi Church on Oak Grove Road. Following the Mass there will be a reception back at the Garaventa Center. This is always a wonderful opportunity to talk with families, and friends of your graduate before the rush of Commencement. We hope to see you there.
