For the past six months, we have been actively searching for a new Principal for Carondelet High School. The search has focused on finding an academic visionary who would fulfill two key criteria: 1) lead our faculty with expertise and confidence; and 2) prepare our young women for future success through innovative programs and curriculum to promote our young women’s academic, physical, and spiritual growth.

We are delighted to report that our search has concluded, and we are excited to announce our new Principal, Kevin Cushing. Kevin is exactly the kind of person we had sought to join our administrative team. He is an outstanding, compassionate, and highly skilled life-long Catholic educator, and an inspiring and purposeful leader. We are blessed to have Kevin joining us at Carondelet, after a long tenure at Bishop O’Dowd High School.

  • "Every 15 Minutes" Program Raises Awareness - Now What?

    Posted March 25, 2015

This year’s “Every 15 Minutes” Program again provided the students of Carondelet and De La Salle with a significant, powerful consideration of the many issues that emerge when drinking and driving bring tragedy into the lives of so many. The program was a great partnership among students, parents, faculty, and a whole range of community support services (police, fire, emergency, religious, counseling).

    What's next?

As we move into Junior Prom (March 28) and Senior Ball (April 25) activities, we urge parents to consider carefully all their moral and legal obligations to keep our young people away from dangerous situations that involve access to alcohol. Now is a good time for parents to review their commitment to the “Safe Homes” pledge and it is important for parents to stand together and send a consistent message to their sons and daughters. This sometime means that parents must be willing to challenge each other. Please do it for the kids!
