• Class of 2016 -- PSAT Results & the Road to College

    college.jpg

We want to remind you to please mark your calendars to attend one of the two PSAT/Road to College sessions that will be offered in January. At these sessions, the College Counselors will return and interpret the PSAT results and present information on the National Merit Scholarship Program. The Road to College sessions will also break down the steps needed to prepare for the college application process including a timeline, preparing for ACT/SAT testing, conducting research, and outlining the resources provided by Carondelet.

It is mandatory for juniors and one parent or guardian to attend. You may choose to attend one of two dates: The first session will be held on Thursday, January 15, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The second session will be held on Saturday, January 17, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Both sessions offer the same material and will be held in the Garaventa Center. It is very important that all juniors and parents/guardians attend as there are many misconceptions associated with the college application process. This is your opportunity to hear the facts firsthand and to have your questions answered.

  • Checking Your Daughter's Grades

Have you checked your daughter's grade recently? Semester 1 is almost finished and finals are just around the corner. The PowerSchool parent portal will be closed once semester exams begin on December 16, to give the teachers the appropriate time to input grades carefully at the end of the semester. The PowerSchool portal will re-open after 8 a.m. on January 5 when grades are due. If any student has a question about a grade, the student should notify the teacher at that time via email. If there is an error in a student's grade, students must communicate with the teacher and a grade change must be made before the first day of the new semester.

  • Subscribing to Our E-Newsletter

Would you like to add another email address to our E-Newsletter distribution list? If so, you can easily do this on your own by subscribing to our newsletter through this link.

As a reminder, this will ONLY add you to our E-Newsletter distribution list, it will not update any of your information in PowerSchool. For PowerSchool updates, you will need to contact our Registrar, Joanne Missaggia, at jmissaggia@carondeleths.org.

  • Are You an "All Cleared" Volunteer?

    1. Have you completed a livescan (fingerprinting) test for CHS?
    2. Do you have a current TB test on file with CHS?
    3. Have you completed the "Shield the Vulnerable" 90 minute on-line course and provided Carondelet with the certificate?

If you answered "YES" to these questions, you would be considered an "all cleared" volunteer.

All parents who will be volunteering at any event where students are present are required to become an "all cleared" volunteer. You will find a list of the requirements here or on the Parent Volunteer page of the CHS website. These requirements must be fulfilled prior to the beginning of school.

Please contact Angela Ricci with any questions at (925) 686-5353 x177 or by email: aricci@carondeleths.org.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this important process - we appreciate all you do and your volunteer time!

Please remember that the safety of your daughters is our priority which is why it's important that all our volunteers meet these requirements.
