Student Life

Carondelet High School is home to an abundance of clubs, honor societies and co-curricular events sponsored by the Student Activities Department. Through these offerings, students are afforded many opportunities to explore different areas of interest while honing their leadership skills. These organizations encourage students to embody Carondelet High School’s mission statement in its entirety.

Students may learn about all clubs and organizations at the Club Faire which takes place at the beginning of each school year. Membership requirements vary and the organizations may change with student interest and passions. Students must solicit the support of a faculty advisor to form a new club or organization and present this to the Director of Student Activities for approval.

It is our wish that each student will find an activity, club or honor society to enhance her personal development and her sense of purpose and connection to Carondelet High school. For more information, contact Activities Director, Ms. Sarah Daniel at sdaniel@carondeleths.org.

The Associated Student Body Council is a vital part of Carondelet. It provides a forum for student expression, promotes communication within the student body, and provides a learning ground in the workings of democracy.

New for 2015-2016 - Cougar FAM (Faith, Action, and More)

In the Old Testament, the word faith in Hebrew means essentially steadfastness, where in Exodus it is first used to describe the strengthening of Moses’ hands. Hence, Carondelet High School’s symbol for Cougar FAMs encompasses the human hands – the doing, and the heart – the agape and courage. In this spirit and with the charism of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet in mind and demonstrated through action, each Cougar FAM is led by senior class guides and includes members from the frosh, soph, and junior classes.

The purpose of Cougar FAMs is to foster a safe family unit and environment that supports, nurtures, creates, and generates innovative ideas, projects, service opportunities and much more. Cougar FAMs provide countless opportunities for prayer, attending Mass as a FAM, active listening, compassion, and care for one another, as well as joyful occasions for fun, laughter, and learning that develop from healthy relationships, which are steeped in Gospel values and rooted in Carondelet High School’s mission and philosophy.
